Continuous Performance Reviews: Say Goodbye to Annual Appraisals
Why the Change?
Let’s face it—waiting an entire year to find out how you’re doing is so last decade. From 2025, you’ll get instant insights with your very own live Performance Score. Available through your Team Leader, your score will be discussed at every supervision meeting. Think of it as your personal performance snapshot—a number out of 100. The higher your score, the more you’re rocking it!
Your Performance Score is based on:
Knowledge
Staying on top of the QCS Reading List
Sickness Absence
Keeping your Bradford Score in check
Time with Service Users
Quality time and their feedback count!
Punctuality
Logging in and out using the QR code at visits
What is my current score?
Your Team Leader is your go-to coach for success! They will let you know what your current score is at supervision. They can suggest ways to improve your performance such as:
Dive into your reading list and master it
Remember, the list changes and updates regularly and it is important to keep up to date. Take time to read the policies fully, at least a few minutes on each, don’t just skim through them. It is your responsibility to understand the importance of the policies and to apply them to your practice. Knowing what is best practice means better outcomes for service users and a safer work environment for everyone.
Reduce short-term absences — your health matters!
We are here to help each other and to understand what causes short term absences. Work with your line manager to help improve your health and reduce the number of short term absences.
Spend quality time with service users
Staying the allocated time at a visit means you spend quality time with service users. By getting to know them better we can seek your opinions whenever we conduct a review. Service users and their families are encouraged to give feedback on their staff team, so taking time to chat, smile and ask how they are all adds to a positive score.
Always use the QR code to log in and out (punctuality rocks!)
Do not use a manual booking unless in an emergency. Knowing where you are is part of our lone working policy and is for your protection. It also lets us advise your colleagues and service users if you are running late, reducing their anxiety.
